We are children of Pacaya Samiria, we were born in this area and nature has given us food and shelter to grow up. It is time to give something in return to keep our nature green and wild.

ALL OUR TEAM MEMBERS GREW UP INSIDE PACAYA SAMIRIA

and belong to the Kukama-Kukamiria people. Our ancestors founded the village which is now our homebase. We learned from them about working the land, fishing and traditional medicine. We want to share with you our experiences and tecniques.

We can still do something to save our culture.

Kukama-Kukamiria is a deeply endangered language. At present, only elders speak the language in very restricted situations; that is, the majority of them has shift to Spanish, and natural processes of language transmission have been interrupted. Since the early 1980s, the Kukama-Kukamirias have promoted language revitalization efforts, including training of bilingual elementary school teachers to teach Kukama-Kukamiria as a second language

SEGUNDO LOMAS CANAQUIRI, A PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER

and Kenyo Martin Jaramillo Soto , a business mananager, are close friends since their childhood. They decided to work together and build a better future for children and nature in San Martin de Tipishca, their homevillage, located inside the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.

Segundo Lomas, started a small school children organization to collect litter in the village, do some reforestation activities and work in repopulating river turtles.
On his side, matin soto, Founder and CEO of Peru Amazon Wild , one of the most important Tour Companies in Iquitos, brought up the idea of fusioning his company and the children's work. This is how gaiatreealliance was born. The only ecotourism company that works in favor of children and the peruvian rainforest
